Community Women's Fund Grants Announcement

WOMEN'S WAY is pleased to announce the Spring 2007 Community Women's Fund Grants.  We had 69 applicants who requested a total of $972,888.  14 agencies received grants totaling $142,000.

Ernesta D. Ballard Book Prize

WOMEN'S WAY seeks book nominations for the 2008 Ernesta Drinker Ballard Book Prize.  We are also seeking selection committee members.  More info

Calling All Scrabble Lovers!

Pack your Scrabble set and head for the Bellevue's Gourmet Food Court from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 7 for an end of year tournament with the kids from ASAP (After School Activities Partnerships). Refreshments served. ASAP is a non-profit whose mission is to keep Philadelphia kids safe and active after school.

Career Wardrobe Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteers are needed for an event on Saturday July 7 during Now and Later: 10 Minutes Now Lasts a Lifetime Later - Massage therapists, make-up artists, and/or nail technicians AND Crafters/Game/Activity Leaders are needed to help with the event More Info

Mountain Meadow Auction

Mountain Meadow is offering leftover silent auction items at 25% off the market value. This translates into BIG savings for you! Items include: Reiki sessions, a one month 12th Street Gym membership, and Starbucks Gift Baskets of various sizes. Victory for Breastfeeding

PA Senate Bill 34, which permits a woman to breastfeed in public, passed the full Pennsylvania Senate recently by a vote of 48-1.  Thank you to all who contacted their representatives in support of this initiative.
