The Women's Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art is holding a private two-day shopping event on April 17th and 18th. Guests are invited to bring new and/or gently-used handbags, jewelry, scarves, shoes (especially size 9 and up!), and stockings (new and unused; especially plus size) to donate to the 'Finishing Touch' accessory drive for The Career Wardrobe.

Women's Equality Amendment Introduced
House and Senate Democrats recently reintroduced the Equal Rights Amendment under a new name, the Women's Equality Amendment. First introduced in 1923 and under consideration several times, the Amendment would add the following sentence to the US Constitution: "Equality of Rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state on account of sex."
Dr. Eric Keroack Resigns
Dr. Eric Keroack, former medical director of a chain of medical clinics that discourages the use of birth control and advocates abstinence, has stepped down from his position as the head of the federal office overseeing family planning programs. President Bush's appointment of Keroack was strongly opposed by women's rights activists.
