30th Annual Event - Tickets Still Available

Help us mark 30 years of courage, determination and impact!  WOMEN'S WAY will present the 30th Anniversary Event on May 3, 2007 at the Sheraton City Center Hotel from 5:00 – 8:30 pm.

This important milestone event features a dynamic networking cocktail reception followed by dinner and an intimate Armchair Conversation about the progress of women with the Honorable Edward G. Rendell, Governor, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; Eleanor Smeal, President and Founder, Feminist Majority Foundation and Rebecca Walker, Author, Activist and Founding Member of the Third Wave Foundation and is moderated by Brenda Jorett, WHYY’s Morning Edition.  The Leadership Award will be given to Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP. Women's Medical Fund Spring Reception: May 17, 2007

The 2006 Rosie Jimenez Award recipient, Loretta Ross, National Coordinator of SisterSong, will be honored. The 13th Annual Spring Reception will be held at Two Liberty Place at 16th and Chestnut Streets from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  More info

Support Women's Right to Breastfeed

Senate Bill 34 was recently approved by the PA Senate Judiciary Committee and will now move to the full Senate for a vote. Sponsored by Senator Connie Williams, the bill supports and protects a mother's right to breastfeed her child in public places.  Please contact your State Senator and tell him or her to support SB34 . Motherhood Manifesto Documentary Airing on WHYY: May 13, 2007

See what the MomsRising movement is all about and why WOMEN'S WAY recently honored the founders. The Motherhood Manifesto documentary film will be broadcast on hundreds of PBS stations around the country on or around Mother's Day. In Philadelphia, it will air on WHYY-TV on May 13 at 3:30 pm.
